I'm still alive but I'm barely breathing Just praying to a God that I don't believe in Cause I got time while she freedom Cause when a heart breaks no it don't break even
Blaze was squirming in my jaws, and I growled softly to let him know not to wiggle. I was semi-irritated, as I thought of what was going on. The trees above me swayed against the ebony night sky, with the stars looking like fireflies against the pelt of a dark-furred wolf. They seemed to out-shine the white moon gleaming in the night. My flamboyant fur was shining in the light of the moon, and I set Blaze down easily on the ground in front of me as I came to a halt. My amber gaze scanned the clearing we were standing in. The scent markings here were quite strong, and I sighed. This was going to a new experience for the whole pack.
To speak to the alpha, there was only one way to get their attention, especially at this late hour of the night. I threw my head back and let out a glorious howl. The alphas should be here soon, and I waited for my pack to catch up with me. My first order of business, was to demote Nia and Ash, and make Naro the Beta. Though Nia and Ash would still be in high rankings, they needed to learn their place. They would become the Gammas.
My head was spinning. My stomach was in knots. I feared that I was going to throw up. My knees were growing weak. I don't know what was coming over me, but I did not want to appear like this in front of an alpha that I was soon to meet, that could save all of our lives. I was starving, but I would not hunt on this foreign land without the permission of the current reigning alphas. I thought I should tell my pack this.
We will not sleep or hunt until we are confronted by an alpha that gives us permission to stay on their grounds.
I coughed once, and nudged Blaze to let him know that everything was going to be okay, and all of us would survive. Above my head, a shooting star crossed the endless night sky, and I silently made a wish for my pack to survive this tragedy, and thrive once it is over.
I'll give you something you can cry about One thing you should try it out Hold a mirror should high When you're older look you in the eye [/size][/blockquote] <<I used Breakeven by The Script, and Runaway by the Barenaked Ladies, if you were wondering.>>

{Ash} When I heard Defa's howl I ran even faster. I soon arived and sat down. I had the feeling something bad was going to happen to me and I couldn't shake it. I took a breath, my paws throbing, and waited for the alpha or alphess of this land to arrive here. I stayed silent with my head low because today just wasn't my day. ((I'm going to wait for all the others to post before Kiki comes.))

Defa's clear howl rang in my ears as my feet brushed the ground and caried me toward my Alphess. I arrived a few second after hearing the howl and i senced somthing was...........off. I walked over to Defa and sat down. I looked at her and tried to see if there was any anger towards Ash, Myself, or any other mamber of the pack.

Someday soon, someday soon. Seasons were made for the change. You will be there. Just like the night to the day without a care. The dark goes before the dawn. Open up your eyes.
My heart pounded in my chest, ready to burst from the strain upon it. We, the Locust pack, had made it safely out of our terrain, and into that of the Thunder pack's. I had watched the trees race by me, and silently noted how they seemed to grow closer together, and their leaves a darker emerald. The heady scent of florals was being sucked into my nostrils as I raced along a few strides behind Ash and Nia. I could see Defa farther ahead, her head lower than usual from the weight of carrying Blaze. I knew when it was time to pull myself back because I could see everyone stopping ahead. I shortened my strides to a quick jog, and then finally a slow walk as I passed under two intertwined tree branches into a clearing.
My breathing was deep and labored, and I had a limp in my right shoulder, the one I was injured in. I stopped off paw steps off from Defa's left, because Nia sat at her right side. My electric blue eyes scanned the surrounding trees, but I could see nothing in the deep shadows. I took note of my fellow pack members, to be sure everyone had made it safely, but I soon saw that Ash was injured. His paws were burned, no doubt from the tree that had been struck by lightning and caught fire as it crashed to the ground. I had been far enough back to see the coming danger, and had skirted around it, but it seemed the Beta male had not been so fortunate. I understood his pain, seeing as I had a source of it myself, and nodded sympathetically his way.
I turned my head to Defa as I heard her speak, and listened attentively to her words. I was not yet hungry, since I had eaten the previous day. I was sure I was going to be soon, though, because of all the energy I had expelled while escaping. As for sleeping, I was exhausted from the little rest I had gotten the night before, but understood the meaning behind my Alphess's words. I nodded in understanding, and chose to stay silent. The coal legged matriarch had already sent up her howl of summoning to the other Alphas, there was no time for pack discussions. My eyes wandered through the trees around the clearing, trying to catch sight of the approaching wolves. So far, I could see none, but my ears were pricked as well, and they caught the faint drop of paws on the moist forest floor.

{Kiki} I hear the howl of another Alphess, Defa. I run to the boundaries of my territory, leaving everyone in the pack without explanation. I soon arrive but do not rush because I do not favor these wolves that are intruding. I arrive and see that her whole pack is waiting. I raise my eyebrows as I slow to a walk. "Why are you here, in my territory, Defa?" I ask, not very happy that they are.

(Crow)
I heard a loud, drawn out howl coming from what seemed like the edge of the territory. I let out a low growl, then when I spotted Kiki running out of camp, I followed her quickly, not bothering at all to keep quiet. I was right on Kiki's tail when we reached the edge of our territory. There, a small pack was sitting. A small ash colored pup, a large fiery red female, a pair of males, and another young female. I sat behind Kiki, my head held high, showing that even though Kiki begged to differ, I saw myself as beta.
(Blaze)
I dangled limply in Defa's gentle jaws. I smelled a strange scent, the scent of another pack. Defa stopped suddenly and set me down. I began kneading the dirt with my tiny black paws and swished my short tail, trying to get the circulation back into them. Soon I felt warmer, although my pelt was still soaked. I heard a slight rustle and my orange eyes snapped up, quickly finding the source of the rustling, a grey and purple female. Behind her there sat another large female, who looked like a living shadow.

A lonely howl sounded off in the distance, and after Kiki and Crow left, I decided I would run to the source of the howl. My slightly less druken body streaked through the humid forest, as I was hot on Crow's pads. I looked up to the moon, and noticed it was full, and that there were dark clouds to the north-west. When I arrived in the clearing, my sapphire gaze scanned over the pack that intruded on my lands.
Kiki called the blaze colored, whom I had never seen before, by name. I let out a low growl, but loud enough for everyone to hear. I was very displeased, as in my eyes, these are tresspassers. Kiki was even displeased. When she spoke, my fur was on end. I padded up to Kiki's side, and raised my head challengingly, and scanned over the pack once again.
The small pup could be a threat to my pups, so I am no too fond of him. The alphess herself, was quite beautiful. The one whom was flanking the alphess looked young, and was a little gorgeous. I'd attend to my duties as a player to them later.
In case you haven't noticed, this gorgeous male right here, is the alpha male. I am Baci.
I narrowed my eyes, and sized them up. I knew I could kill all of them in a heartbeat.

Let us die young or let us live forever We don't have the power, but we never say never Sitting in a sandpit, life is a short trip The music's for the sad man
Forever young, I wanna be forever young Do you really wanna live forever, forever and ever? Forever young, I wanna be forever young Do you really wanna live forever, forever, forever?
When Kiki walked into sight, I forgot she knew who I was. I haven't seen her in a while. Then behind her, a female whom blended with the shadows followed her in. A white male who said he was Baci was checking Nia and me out. I was disgusted. I was about ready to throw up. Then he looked to Blaze, which I let out a silent growl. I stepped in front of Blaze, just in case I needed to protect him.
I shook my fur, and looked over my pack again. I noticed Ash's paws were burnt, and I nodded to him, letting him know that I would take care of him later. Then I looked to Naro, to make sure he was okay. He seemed a little stiff, and then I looked to Nia. She was flanking me, and seemed nervous. I reached down to the side of me, and licked Blaze backwards, hoping that his chilled fur would dry out soon.
Hello again, Kiki. My pack is in distress. A storm has brewed on the coast, and it could take our lives once it hits shore. My pack needs a place to stay, and I was wondering if you would shelter us.
I dipped my head in respect to her, and I ignored the arrogant male next to her. I was hoping she would say yes, so that my pack would survive. I sighed and waited for her responce.

When the white male comes in brhind Kiki I notice how he looks at me and Defa. After Defa is finished speaking she bows her head. I fallow my Alphess keeping my head lower than hers.

{Kiki} "You will need to repay us in some way... But yes, we will shelter you in your time of need," I nod in agreement. This pack was in need of help and my choice was the right thing to do. "You will be sleeping in the normal dens under the stone. There will be no fights between our packs or your pack will go back to your land and not welcomed again. If one of you even touches a wolf from my pack in a hurtful way, you personally will be kicked in the ass and not welcome here. Am I clear?" I state my rules. It would assure the safety of my pack and if not will give us the right to hurt them for it. I stand up tall. "We will now leave you be to do what ever is needed."

Someday soon, someday soon. Seasons were made for the change. You will be there. Just like the night to the day without a care. The dark goes before the dawn. Open up your eyes.
The paw steps grew closer and closer, until finally, a form emerged from the underbrush before us. I sat tall and proud, but with my head hanging just below Defa's. I glanced under my Alpha's chin to see that Nia had her head the same height as my own, so I lowered it a bit more to show respect for the Beta. Then, my sapphire gaze focused upon the unusual colored she-wolf before the Locust pack. She was a light, heather grey, with different shades of lavender upon her tail, legs, and cheeks. Her eyes were a pale blue, almost watery, and she had a strange symbol of the same hue as her eyes upon her right flank. She was petite, almost too lean for a wolf. Yet I noticed she was quite older than any body in my pack, probably a year over myself. So she was in her prime, and possibly had experience at running a pack. But I didn't put much thought into that idea, because age really didn't mean anything. It was the experiences you have been through that mattered.
Just as I finish studying the oddly colored female, another one steps forth from the brush and stands at the first one's side. The new one is pure black, much like myself, and she holds herself with an air that just screams arrogance into the silent air hanging between both packs. I shift my weight so that if I needed to leap up and defend my Alpha, I could. Blaze shifts restlessly between Defa's paws, and I glance over to him and give a low growl to command him to be still and keep silent. Then I listen as the first wolf to come forth asks us why we are in her land, and I instantly place her face as one of the Alphas. I had heard Ash call this pack the Thunder pack, but I wondered what the name of the Alphess was. I stay silent, though, and watch as yet another wolf steps through the bushes and goes to sit on the Alpha female's other side. I don't have to wait long for the new wolf to introduce itself. Baci, the Alpha male. I watch him carefully, seeing as his eyes wander over Defa and Nia disrespectfully. And the way he spoke literally made my skin crawl, and I could feel my hackles rising. I stood up slowly, walking closer to my Alphess's side and staring the white male down without mercy. I halted right beside Defa, and decided to stay standing while she spoke.
Kiki was the name of the Alpha female of the Thunder pack. I nod as I tuck this information away, placing names of the other pack's members with faces and ranks. I wasn't sure about the midnight dame that had kept as silent as me, but I figured if our pack were in an alliance, we'd meet soon enough. I glance over as Defa finishes asking for help, and watch as she and Nia both lower their head in a bow. I keep mine where I had been holding it though, not bowing to show respect to either Alpha. Instead, I shift my burning gaze to Kiki, and let out a low growl before speaking.
" I will not promise to abide by such laws. " My voice shook the air with it's deep, husky tones. I glance at Defa, briefly showing a pleading look to her before I let my anger burn my eyes into blue fire and I stare at Kiki and Baci once more. I parted my jowls, and let forth my seething tones once more. " I will defend my pack in every way, and that includes their honor. I will not accept to be sheltered by a pack that has such a disrespectful Alpha. Baci, control where your eyes look or you won't have any the next time I see you looking at my Alphess and Betess in such a way. And Kiki, you might want to consider how faithful your mate is. He might not deserve the honor you have given him at your side. And if you are such an Alpha to be so easily fooled, then my pack can find shelter else where, under a leader that knows how to keep their pack in line. "
I stood tall and proud, unconcerned by the consequences I was sure were to come. By I had to stand up for what I believe in, and I did not believe we would be safe under Kiki and Baci's rule. They were treating us like slaves, and I would not accept it. We did not owe them anything. An alliance was payment enough. So, I kept my eyes upon the other Alphas, and hoped that Defa would see the wisdom in my words.

I turn hearing one speak. I am not happy with his words. I was being very generous, letting their pack stay but once he spoke up I was ready to attack him. But I didn't. I closed my eyes and shook my head. I open my eyes before I speak.
"I do not wish to host such a disrespectful pack. I was considering taking you in at your time of need but you know what? This is a big load of bull shit. Go ahead and don't accept my offer. I do not want any of the wolves on this earth to die but, that's just rude. Flat out rude. Unless any of you has something else to say, get off my land because you are defenitely not welcome in my territory if you are going to speak like that."
I wait for either Defa to reply or they leave because I seriously had my own pack to take care of and I had enough of the one wolf's shit. I did not need to be told that I was running my pack wrong and my mate does as he does. I'm not going to punish him for being him. I do not even look a second at the one who spoke so rudely. Just Defa and the others.

My ears flattened to my head. Naro is going to het us kicked out, he wont be protecting us! By making Kiki angry he was only hurting our chances of servival. I let out a small sigh, I was the Beta but this was not my decision to make so I wated for Defa to reply.

((Blaze))
I whimpered quietly. What were we to do now? Where would we go? Naro was going to get us killed! I pulled myself to my feet and looked up at Kiki, my big orange eyes pleading with her. If we couldn't find a place to stay, I didn't know what would happen. I looked away from Kiki quickly, showing submittance by looking to the ground. I kneaded the ground with my paws nervously. What would happen to this pack?
((Crow))
I studied the tiny pack. I pitied them, they had no place to stay. I listened closely to Kiki's conditions, they sounded plenty fair to me. I mean, this pack had no other place to go. What choice did they have? When the dark male with startling blue eyes spoke, I was taken aback. How dare he insult the alpha's of this pack! I growled audibly and stood up, my stance clearly showing my anger. My tail stuck straight out, and my green eyes bored into the male's. "You better watch yourself." I snarled.

The male that moved like shadows opened his jowls, and spoke some of the most disrepsecting words I have ever heard. He was on my land, and I was not about to let it continue. We were offering to save their lives. I would rather let this rubbish perish in the great storm that is going to happen. I growled, and my muscles tensed, and I was like a spring getting ready to contract. My beautiful, lucious fur was standing on end, and I was ready to attack. He was only within a bound away from me, and it would only take one paw swipe to the muzzle to put him in his place. I growled, and padded up to him, realesing the tension in my muscles.
You have not only disrespected me, but you have disrespected my mate.
I swiped him across the muzzle, wishing to draw blood, but I wasn't going to be that cruel to him. He obviously respected his alpha, and was ready to give his life for the young, naive female. I turned to 'Defa'.
You're still welcome to stay here, sugar.
I winked at her, and smirked to Naro. I looked to Kiki, and padded off into the direction of the camp, but little did they know was that I was not going back to camp. I was going to go find myself another female to fall in love with me. Defa and Nia weren't pretty enough for me.
When I reached the camp, I padded off into the direction of the Snowfall pack, hoping I can stir up some trouble there. <<I know the storm's coming, but I have a plan for Baci.>>
